Helping Hands serves Vero Beach's South County in engaging students (K-12) through in-school and after-school programs. Our programs provide IEP & 504 support, academic support, and mentorship.

Staff sit in classrooms to align with teacher expectations and create consistent strategies at home. We help students improve grades and strengthen study skills.

Staff meet students during lunch to build relationships and provide mentoring as well as attending student award ceremonies.

Attendance at meetings to ensure students with special needs have the right accommodations and advocacy.

We go beyond academics to help students achieve the most opportunities in life. We have activities designed to build confidence and positive relationships as well as job readiness training for older youth.

Helping Hands isn’t just a program—it’s a place where healing, confidence, and strength are built every day.
I was once a little girl who struggled in school, afraid to let anyone know. What Manny didn’t see was that I was intelligent—but needed to learn in different ways.
When I became a mother, I discovered new ways to teach my own children. That journey lit a fire in me—I wanted to become the tool that helps other parents advocate for their children, just as I did for mine.
Today, I am proud to be a community advocate for families. Through helping hands, I work every day to encourage students to be bold, to ask for help, and to know they deserve the support that will help them succeed.
I am proof that our struggles can shape our purpose, and that purpose can change lives.
We believe that significant transformations occur when families learn to advocate, sometimes through small gestures or even without words, achieving remarkable outcomes.
We're committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where families not only learn to advocate effectively, but also find the strength and resources to navigate various aspects of their lives successfully.
We strive to expand the horizons of families, guiding them to advocate effectively for themselves and their children. Our approach involves meeting families where they are, leveraging their existing tools while aiding in the discovery of new strategies to navigate life's challenges.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
